MES Kindergarten Enjoys STEM Activity
On Tuesday March 12th, 2018 students in Kindergarten at Meadowview Elementary participated in many spring STEM activities. Some of the activities included students working together to build leprechaun traps, reading stories about and planting seeds, using shaving cream to write sight words and spring words, and graphing spring cookies. Students in Ms. Hocketts class enjoyed their morning snack by reading a story about comparing amounts and then comparing amounts of spring teddy graham cookies. Students sorted cookies that were teddy bears, ladybugs, flowers, leaves, bumble bees and butterflies. Students then filled in a bar graph to show more, fewer and the same. Students enjoyed all of the Spring Stem activities and especially enjoyed the special snack.
