Principal's Message

Hello Mustang Families!
We have missed our students so much in these last few months and we are looking forward to seeing all of them soon, whether that is in a virtual platform or in person.  I want to first take a moment and let you know how much I appreciate the time and effort you must be putting into making the decisions about what is best for your child and your family.  I can't begin to imagine how difficult the decision is for each of you about which learning platform to use.  I respect whatever you decide is best for your child and we are committed to providing your child with the best education possible, under whatever circumstances we are given.

The key to this being a successful school year is our ability to work together and put the needs of our students first.  The teachers, other staff, and I have been working tirelessly to prepare for ALL scenarios through the summer, and we feel that we are ready to provide that education for your children.  We won't be able to be our best without constant communication with our families.  We know that every situation is different, so we are providing multiple platforms and multiple resources for whatever your family needs are.  So, it is more important than ever that you communicate those needs to us.  Your child's teachers will be reaching out to you soon with the best ways to do that.  All our teachers will be using the REMIND app with families which will give you the best form of quick communication.

If you have not been receiving email communications from me throughout the summer, please call the school and update your email address so that you can be included in those as well.

As we begin the most unusual school year I, in my 31 years in education, have ever experienced, we will face these challenges together.  As educators, we are growing and stretching as we learn new ways to teach and communicate.  We recognize that we are not perfect, but we are going to be prepared when school opens and your little ones join us.  We will adapt to the ever changing circumstances looking through the lens of what is best for our students!

We are all in this together!
